bj’s lost in regulation too, so we have that also.

i missed the game today- was coaching this afternoon - but glad to see them win in a tough situation. keep going until it’s over.

Sanheims a beaut isn’t he? The young defense for next year is very exciting. There should be no rush to trade ghost this summer coming off a major down year. Do not trade him at low value give him a chance to get himself healthy first

It’s over. But it’s nice to see the young players playing well....imagine that. They are playing hard for Scott Gordon.

95% chance it’s over. that’s ok. loving the growth of lindblom and sanheim, seeing carter will be just fine, getting a look at meyers, and giroux/couturier just keep on going. jvr is showing he’s on pace for toronto production levels too. a lot of good stuff happening here.

16 games left. even if they go 12-4 they end up with 96 points and I Don't think that will be enough.

Realistically they need 13-3.

I'm loving the fact that the kids are playing better and getting more involved in our success. Things look bright for 19-20.

I also believe that Hartman has potential to be the 3rd line winger as he has some more offensive potential than Laughton or Raffl.

I also have started to believe that, possibly, Myers may become the better dman than Provy. Bold statement so early, but I think this kid is special. We could have a Seabrook/Keith situation for the next 6 years.

Playoffs are still a long shot but stranger things have happened. My guess would be no playoffs.

Being down 2 of your top forwards and beating the top team in the Metro on the road is nothing to sneeze at.

What's Voracek's injury and any updates on Patrick? Did they keep Patrick out because we were up 3-0 and it wasn't worth bringing him back in or will he be out with a concussion?

From what I seen, The Isles outplayed.out worked the Flyers for over 2 periods and the Flyers got a good but lucky win.

Something like that. I actually wonder if we’ll see a 100 point team miss the playoffs. Doesn’t seem that unreasonable

That seems to be our MO and one reason I haven't completely bought in to the recent surge. We are still inconsistent. Still too many turnovers and chances against. If we don't get strong goaltending we have no shot. Some of it is "growing pains" with a young team but also is frustrating.

Don't get me wrong, that was an impressive win. Down 2 major forwards, in their barn, division game. Big win. I just haven't seen consistent improvement. Just flashes here and there.

Younger players are absolutely improving. A player like Hartman is a big addition to the bottom 6. Only 1 assist but he’s canceled out at least 2 icings with his speed. He appears to be a good fit for us. Sanheim is finding his niche as an aggressive dman in the offensive zone. Myers in and amac out is wonderful. Love that move. Provorov more and more returning to form. They won’t make the dance but it’s ok. Young players are leading the push in the last half of the year.

I believe an underrated part of our d core is how well they are clearing the porch night in and night out. Especially being so young

I would like to see more improvement in this area. Think it has been better lately, but inconsistent.

You never know what a kid with Myers physical skills is going to do and how good he is going to become. Ned to remember that even though it is a small sample to this point, he isn't showing signs even close to what Provorov was as a rookie in the NHL. He certainly could be a special player but at this point, I don't put above Provorov in the future. I also don't put him above Sanheim. To be completely fair both those players have a lot more time and experience so we'll see.
